[News] SMTOWN LIVE in Paris confirmed for June!

SM Entertainment’s massive in-house concert, “SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR“, will finally have a stage in Europe!

On April 20th, SM Entertainment revealed, “‘SMTOWN LIVE’ gathered much success and interest from foreign fans during the concerts in Seoul, LA, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Therefore, this upcoming June 10th, we are planning to meet our French music fans at the ‘Le Zenith de Paris’ venue in Paris, France.”

SM Entertainment is the first Korean entertainment company to hold a collaborative concert in Europe. The venue where they will hold the concert is famous for hosting concerts from international superstars like Ne-Yo, The Pussycat Dolls, and the Jonas Brothers.

TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, and f(x) – who are all scheduled to attend – are also at the center of the K-Pop wave in Europe. Indeed, just last January, a nationwide TV channel called 2TV gave a report on Europe’s Hallyu craze, which cited SM artists as the center of the wave.

SM Entertainment stated, “From the Paris concert, we plan for our company’s artists’ to have more global activities – surpassing Asia and extending into America and Europe – by taking advantage of a wide variety of networks.”

[News] SM Town to perform in Tokyo in January

After the successful concerts held in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Shanghai, SM Town will be making its next stop in Tokyo, Japan. The concert will be held on January 25th and 26th at the Yoyogi National Stadium. As previously reported, this will be the first performance by all the SME artists in Japan.

An SM representative stated that “large performance halls like Yoyogi Stadium could accommodate 12,000 people. We expect a huge turnout of 24,000 on both days as this will be a large music festival. SM Town Live, which is seen as an established concert brand name, received huge support from fans in Asia and we believe the concerts in Tokyo will be very successful."

Big stars such as BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, f(x), etc. are expected to perform at this two-day concert, as they had in previous legs of the SM Town Live World Tour. Are you looking forward to this concert?

[News] SHINee and SNSD to perform at 12th Korea-China Music Festival

On December 2nd, SNSD and SHINee together with artists from Korea and China will be performing at the 12th Korea-China Music Festival in KBS Hall, Seoul. The event is jointly organized by China’s CCTV and Republic of Korea’s KBS. The event was organized as part of the effort to promote cultural exchange between the two countries. Some of the Kpop artists who will be performing at the annual events besides SNSD are CN Blue, Kara, SHINee, 2NE1, Supreme Team, etc. 12th Korea-China Music Festival will be aired on KBS 1TV on December 12th

[News] Girl's Generation, f(x), SHINee to Release 2011 Calendar

스타 캘린더는 스타 별로 탁상용과 벽걸이용 총 2가지 타입으로 선보이며, 가격은 각 15,000원. G마켓(www.gmarket.co.kr)과 옥션(www.auction.co.kr)에서만 단독으로 판매하며, 오는 11월 23일부터 12월 5일까지 캘린더 예약판매를 실시한다. 예약판매를 통하면 좀 더 빠르게 캘린더를 받을 수 있으며 배송은 12월 10일부터다.

예약판매 기간 동안 캘린더를 구입하는 고객에 한해 추첨을 통해 스타가 직접 사인한 캘린더(총 90명)를 선물 할 예정이며, 각 스타 별 캘린더 구매고객에 선착순으로 미니달력(3,000명)과 화보 엽서(60,000명)도 선사 한다. 당첨자는 12월 13일 발표한다.

샤이니 캘린더는 ‘샤이니, 친구를 만나다’는 주제로 빈티지 의상과, 멤버들과 인연이 있는 특별한 소품들을 활용해 클래식하고 특별한 분위기를 선사하고 있다.

The star calendar will be available in two kinds: for putting on the desk and for hanging on the wall. The price for each is 15,000 Won. It can be bought only at G Market (www.gmarket.co.kr) and Auction (www.auction.co.kr), and the reservation starts from Nov. 23 through Dec. 5. It will be shipped from Dec. 10.

Those who make reservations will have a chance to be picked to receive a calendar with autographs (90 people in total). And those who buy calendars will be given a mini-calendar (3,000 people) and postcards (60,000 people) in the order of purchase. The announcement will be made on Dec. 13.

...SHINee's calendar, themed "SHINee meets friends," shows a classical and unique style with members in vintage clothes and special props related to members episodes.

There will be an application calendar for smart phone users too.
